About This Script

The ASF is a 501C3 non-profit corporation in the US - and there's a lot going on the corporate side of the ASF, to keep the corporate records and infrastructure that the many Apache projects you use working.

  • Formal duties

  • An officer responsible for Brand Management, including but not limited to management of the ASF’s trademarks, service marks, and related ASF logos.

  • Goals

  • Maintain the ASF’s ability to protect trademarks of our projects and of the Foundation.

  • Tasks

    • Provide trademark education to project communities and vendors using our brands.
    • Oversee replies to trademark related requests for permissions.
    • Oversee policing of Apache brand misuses.
    • Coordinate registration or other legal actions as requested by any project.
